Resource Teacher

About the position

As a Resource Teacher at the Primrose School of Centennial, you will play a vital role in fostering the development of young children through a structured educational program. This position involves planning and implementing activities that support the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth of each child, following the Primrose Balanced Learning® approach. You will be responsible for supervising a group of children and ensuring a safe and engaging classroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily class functions for a group of children.
• Observe and adhere to all health, safety, and care regulations as per local, state, and national guidelines.
• Implement approved lesson plans and daily schedules in line with the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum.
• Maintain an attractive and well-kept classroom that encourages exploration and decision-making.
• Provide verbal recognition and set clear expectations for children's behavior.
• Handle maintenance and housekeeping duties for the classroom and common areas.
• Maintain a professional appearance as per the Primrose School guidelines.
• Assist in other duties as assigned by the Director or designee.

Requirements

• 1 year of experience in childcare or teaching.
• Ability to meet local childcare regulatory agency requirements.
• Availability for a flexible full-time schedule, Monday through Friday.
• Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. for child handling and safety.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous teaching or assistant teaching experience in a licensed early childhood program.
