About the position

The Resources and Career Coach position at Oklahoma State University is responsible for engaging students and alumni in career readiness activities. This includes creating impactful educational content in digital marketing and resources used by Career Services and campus partners. The role requires strong storytelling, writing, and editing skills, along with proficiency in content creation tools. Additionally, the coach will conduct individual consultations, career-related workshops, and outreach presentations to enhance student engagement and awareness of career services.

Responsibilities

• Engage students and alumni in career readiness activities.
• Create high-quality educational content in digital marketing and resources.
• Conduct individual consultations with students and alumni.
• Facilitate career-related workshops and outreach presentations.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Proficiency with content creation tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, InDesign, video editing software).
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.
• Public speaking and outreach skills.
• Understanding of career development concepts and student needs.
• Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in Communications, Strategic Communications, AgCommunications, Public Relations or related fields.
• One year of related experience in marketing and communications.
• Three to five years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably in higher education or career services.
• CCSP, CCC, GCDF certification or ability to obtain within one year of employment.
