About the position

The Respiratory Care Clinical Specialist at AdventHealth Celebration is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment and care of patients in a critical care environment. This role functions as an Advanced Respiratory Therapist and may take on leadership responsibilities in the absence of a supervisor. The position emphasizes outstanding customer service and adherence to safety regulations while promoting process improvement and evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the treatment and care of assigned patients.
• Function as an Advanced Respiratory Therapist and accept leadership responsibilities as needed.
• Adhere to the Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan and applicable regulations.
• Participate in outstanding customer service and maintain respectful relationships.
• Complete documentation and charges for procedures accurately.
• Proactively initiate process improvement ideas.
• Act as a collaborative member and respiratory clinical resource for the interdisciplinary team.
• Ensure quality care through knowledge of evidence-based practices.
• Enforce safety regulations and standard precautions.

Requirements

• Associate degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program, or equivalent experience if hired prior to November 20, 2015.
• Two years' post-graduate critical care clinical experience.
• Valid State of Florida license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
