About the position
The Respiratory Care Clinic Specialist at AdventHealth Celebration is responsible for providing advanced respiratory therapy services to patients during night shifts. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, while also taking on leadership responsibilities in the absence of a supervisor. The specialist is expected to adhere to compliance regulations and actively participate in customer service, ensuring respectful relationships with all stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the treatment and care of assigned patients.
- Function as an Advanced Respiratory Therapist and accept leadership responsibilities as needed.
- Adhere to compliance plans and regulations from local, state, and federal agencies.
- Participate in outstanding customer service and maintain respectful relationships.
- Act as a collaborative member and respiratory clinical resource for the interdisciplinary team.
- Ensure quality care through knowledge of evidence-based practices and act as a patient safety advocate.
- Document and charge for procedures accurately and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Proactively initiate process improvement ideas.
Requirements
- Associate degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program, or a graduate of a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary program if hired prior to November 20, 2015.
- Two years' post-graduate critical care clinical experience.
- Valid State of Florida license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
