About the position

The Respiratory Care Prac - Pool demonstrates competencies in respiratory assessments and procedures for all patient populations and age groups. The RCP - Pool performs and interacts as a healthcare professional administering respiratory care procedures in acute care and critical care areas. The Respiratory Care Prac - Pool demonstrates competency as outlined in the RCP I COT. Under the direction of the Pulmonary Services Leadership team, provides professional respiratory care to patients in accordance with the hospital's policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate competencies in respiratory assessments and procedures for all patient populations and age groups.
• Administer respiratory care procedures in acute care and critical care areas.
• Provide professional respiratory care to patients in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of worked experience in both general and critical care as a licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program is required.
• State of Wisconsin license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner is required.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) is required within 12 months of hire.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required within 6 months of hire.
