About the position

The Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) is responsible for providing care to patients with respiratory issues in a hospital setting. This role involves performing routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures, as well as maintaining equipment and providing basic laboratory testing. The ideal candidate will have prior inpatient experience or a strong commitment to learning in a critical care environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients.
  • Maintain all respiratory care equipment in working order.
  • Provide phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

  • Must be certified or licensed in the state to practice respiratory care.
  • Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Blood gas licensure required if employed in Nevada.
  • Minimum of one-year clinical respiratory experience preferred.
  • High school diploma required, preferably an associate degree.
