About the position

The Respiratory Care Practitioner at Dameron Hospital is responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients, including assessment, diagnostic and therapeutic modalities, and ventilator management. This role requires expertise in administering treatments and medications, responding to emergency situations, and ensuring patient safety and comfort across various care settings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and provide respiratory care diagnostic and therapeutic modalities.
• Administer treatment modalities and aerosolized medications to patients.
• Manage ventilators, including patient assessment and intervention.
• Prepare medication and supplies for respiratory care procedures.
• Respond to Code Blue situations and provide appropriate interventions, including BLS and airway management.
• Provide quality care to patients requiring respiratory care expertise, considering age-related needs.
• Participate in the Respiratory Protection Program, including the use of respirators.

Requirements

• Education as established by the Respiratory Care Board of California to obtain California RCP license.
• Minimum of one (1) year of previous clinical/hospital experience preferred.
• Experience in Adult Critical Care and ventilator management preferred.
• California State RCP License required.
• Current BLS Certification required.
