Respiratory Therapist - FT - Nights - $20K Sign on Bonus - MHW

About the position

Patients depend on our team for the best in evidence-based care and innovative therapies, such as inhaled nitric oxide, high-frequency oscillation, and invasive and non-invasive ventilator support modalities. Opportunities exist for motivated Registered Respiratory Therapists (and Certified Respiratory Therapy Technicians) with the skills to provide a high level of quality service in a variety of settings including the ED, Trauma and Critical Care. Provides care for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates respiratory care policies and procedures based on patient outcomes, current research, and best practices.
• Educates the patient and family about the patient's illness and provides information about community support groups and other resources.
• Delivers and assesses response to ordered therapy per plan of care.
• Monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition.
• Responds to codes and calls for emergent assistance.
• Assesses patient condition and delivers appropriate treatment.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association.
• BLS American Heart RQI E-Card (BLS AHA-RQI ECARD) - American Heart Association.
• BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association.
• BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) - Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential.
• BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) - Red Cross.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (TT LICENSE) - State of Florida.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RT LICENSE) - State of Florida.

Nice-to-haves

• National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) credential is preferred.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) for NICU.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) for Pediatric areas.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) for Adult areas.
