About the position

The Respiratory Therapist (RT) position at Cayuga Health involves providing comprehensive respiratory care to patients across all age groups with breathing abnormalities. Responsibilities

• Performs all respiratory therapy duties in all patient care areas.
• Proficient in mechanical ventilation, NIPPV, patient assessment, tracheostomy care, high flow Oxygen therapy, airway stabilization/maintenance, patient education, ABG acquisition and outpatient respiratory procedures.
• Quickly responds and communicates with nursing and providers regarding changes in patient condition.
• Performs timely and accurate documentation.
• Actively participates in patient treatment plan and supports multidisciplinary team rounds.
• Maintains a positive attitude with a patient-centered care focus and acts as a resource to others.

Requirements

• Education: RRT
• Experience: New graduates and experienced therapists
• Licensure: Active New York Respiratory Therapist License
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
