About the position

The Respiratory Therapist (RT) at The Laurels of Milford is responsible for assessing, treating, and caring for guests with breathing disorders. This full-time position involves performing all respiratory care procedures, maintaining accurate records, and operating necessary equipment to ensure optimal respiratory health for residents.

Responsibilities

• Initiates, monitors and maintains life support systems.
• Monitors outcomes of various respiratory care procedures.
• Establishes and maintains respiratory equipment par-level and required maintenance records.
• Troubleshoots equipment malfunction.
• Conducts quality assurance audits.
• Conducts quality control monitoring.
• Provides routine clinical care, including ventilator checks, tracheostomy care, suctioning, resident evaluations, care plan development, respiratory medication delivery, supply changes, and equipment management.

Requirements

• Must be a certified Respiratory Therapist.
• Licensed in the state of Ohio.
• Completion of a two-year accredited Respiratory Program.
• Current CPR certification.
