Our Allied Health positions require specific educational qualifications and certifications, which vary by role. For instance, Imaging positions require an Associate's degree from an ARRT accredited institute and certification with ARRT, while Respiratory Therapy roles necessitate a current Respiratory Care License and various advanced life support certifications. Surgical Tech positions require an Associate degree or vocational certification, and Pharmacy Tech roles require ExCPT or PTCB certification. Each role has its own set of educational and certification requirements, ensuring that we maintain a high standard of care across all departments. Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional patient care in accordance with Mercy Health's standards and values.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient treatment.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation as required.
  • Adhere to safety and health regulations in all aspects of patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance professional skills.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree from an ARRT accredited institute (preferred for Imaging positions).
  • Certification and Registration with ARRT (required for Imaging positions).
  • Current Respiratory Care License in the state of practice (required for Respiratory Therapy).
  • National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credentialed (required for Respiratory Therapy).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (required for Respiratory Therapy).
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (required for Respiratory Therapy).
  • Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program (required for Surgical Tech).
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification (required for Surgical Tech).
  • High School Diploma or GED (required for Pharmacy Tech).
  • Completion of ASHP/ACPE tech training program (preferred for Pharmacy Tech).
  • Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS or PharmD (required for Pharmacist).
  • BLS certification (preferred for Pharmacist).
  • Medical Lab Technician Certification or eligibility by a nationally recognized certification agency (required for Lab positions).
  • Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Laboratory Science/Biomedical Science/Biology/Biochemistry (required for MLS positions).

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (preferred for Respiratory Therapy).
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification (preferred).
  • Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT) certification (preferred).
  • Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT) certification (preferred).
  • ACCS (Adult Critical Care Specialist) certification (preferred).
  • Immunization Certified (preferred for Pharmacist).
