About the position

The Respiratory Therapy Assistant position at Carle Foundation Hospital is a student role designed for individuals enrolled in a respiratory therapy program. The incumbent will be responsible for educating staff and patients about respiratory therapy and ECG, assisting with respiratory staff orientation, and performing other duties as assigned by the Manager of Respiratory Care.

Responsibilities

• Educate staff and patients in all aspects of respiratory therapy and ECG.
• Assist with respiratory staff orientation.
• Perform other duties as requested by the Manager of Respiratory Care.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a respiratory therapy program.
• Basic reading, writing, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to respond appropriately to customer and co-worker interactions.
• Maintain confidentiality of information.
• Basic computer knowledge including word processing, spreadsheets, email applications, and web browsers.
