About the position

The Respiratory Care Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily technical operations and supervision of patient care activities within the hospital during assigned shifts. This role involves assisting the Director in managing the department's overall operations, ensuring high-quality respiratory care is provided to patients.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily technical operations of the respiratory care department.
• Assist the Director in managing departmental operations.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures during assigned shifts.
• Oversee patient care activities and ensure quality standards are met.
• Provide guidance and support to respiratory care practitioners.

Requirements

• Graduate from a CAAHEP accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
• Current license to practice Respiratory Care in Texas.
• Credentialed (CRT or RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Current BLS and ACLS Certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Minimum of 2 years working experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
• 2 years of experience in an adult critical care unit.
• 2 years of experience in a neonatal and/or pediatric critical care unit.
