About The Position

The Respiratory Therapy Supervisor at AdventHealth is responsible for overseeing the Respiratory Care staff and managing daily operations to align with the organization's mission and goals. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and re-evaluating patient care, while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. The supervisor also plays a key role in fostering a respectful and collaborative environment among staff and patients.

Requirements

• Associate's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Three years of experience as an Advanced Critical Care Therapist.
• Current, valid State of Florida license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead Respiratory Care staff and daily operations.
• Assess, plan, implement, and re-evaluate treatment and care for assigned patients.
• Ensure adherence to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and all applicable regulations.
• Participate in outstanding customer service and maintain respectful relationships.
• Complete performance appraisals on time and provide fair counseling to staff.
• Monitor staff activities to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Act as a liaison between staff and department leadership, communicating important issues.
• Maintain good working relationships with all customers and healthcare team members.
