About the position

The Respite Counselor (Relief) position at Riverside Community Care is an entry-level role focused on supporting individuals in crisis as they transition back into the community. The role involves working evenings, overnights, and weekends within an adult mental health facility, as part of a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to providing quality care and ensuring consumer safety and stabilization.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and implement daily operations of the facility.
• Ensure quality of care for consumers.
• Conduct intake of new consumers.
• Implement treatment plans as directed.
• Facilitate group sessions for consumers.
• Supervise consumers to ensure their safety and stabilization.
• Perform occasional home visits to assess the needs of individuals served.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle for local travel.
• Associate's degree with one year of experience required, or High School Diploma with three years of related experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience in a mental health setting strongly preferred.
