About the position

As a Test Engineer supporting the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of various Marketplace Health Exchange applications. This position involves continuous testing for security, API, and UI integration, as well as manual regression testing. You will be part of a dynamic team that contributes to the development of new functionalities for the Federally Facilitated Exchange (FFE) program, helping to make healthcare services safer and smarter for users.

Responsibilities

• Conduct test execution for Restful services and APIs.
• Document test cases, test results, and data used for validations in JIRA.
• Validate test bed across different environments and share results.
• Participate in scrum meetings and run test case execution.
• Create reports and document defects to support continuous improvement activities for the end-to-end testing process.
• Perform quality work in a high-pressure environment and under strict deadlines.
• Adapt to quickly changing priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 3+ years of experience with end-to-end Agile software testing
• Hands-on test execution experience for Restful services and APIs
• Experience creating Test Case documentation
• Familiarity with any NoSQL database
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA
• Established residency in the U.S. for at least 3 out of the last 5 years
• Ability to obtain a Federal Public Trust.

Nice-to-haves

• Beginner level experience with test scenario planning
• Beginner level experience with data prepping and database query console
• Experience supporting data and environment configuration with tools such as Jenkins/GitHub
• Develop Test Automation framework using Java/Scala REST APIs
• Proven ability to work independently and as a team member
• Strong organizational, attention-to-detail, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
