About the position

We are seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager (AGM) for our high-end restaurant located in Midtown East. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing upscale dining establishments in Manhattan and possess a deep passion for wine. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of fine dining service, as well as the ability to motivate and train staff effectively. The AGM will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring that the restaurant maintains its high standards of service and quality. In this position, you will be expected to manage staff schedules, maintain inventory, and ensure that all service protocols are followed. A significant part of the role involves utilizing reservation systems such as OpenTable and Resy, so familiarity with these platforms is essential. The AGM will also play a key role in enhancing the guest experience by providing knowledgeable wine recommendations and ensuring that the wine list is well-curated and up to date. We are looking for a leader who can inspire a team, foster a positive work environment, and uphold the restaurant's reputation for excellence.   • Familiarity with OpenTable and Resy reservation systems
  • Strong leadership and communication skills

Nice-to-haves
