The Restaurant All-Rounder / Kitchen-Expo Lead is a versatile role within a growing restaurant concept, responsible for both culinary and customer service tasks. This position requires a skilled individual who can efficiently prepare food, communicate effectively between kitchen and front-of-house staff, and ensure a positive dining experience for guests. The role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys a variety of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assemble salads and cold dishes with precision and efficiency.
  • Act as the vital link between the kitchen and FOH staff, ensuring accurate order placement and timely delivery of dishes.
  • Plate dishes with care and attention to detail, creating an appealing presentation for guests.
  • Clearly communicate orders to the kitchen and relay special requests to the FOH team.
  • Collaborate effectively with both FOH and BOH staff to ensure a smooth and efficient service flow.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a line cook focusing on salads and cold dishes.
  • Experience as an expo and in an FOH role (e.g., server, bartender, host) in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to thrive under pressure.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A genuine interest in food and providing a positive dining experience for guests.
