About the position

The Restaurant Barback and Host position is a part-time role that involves working both behind the bar and at the front of the restaurant. The ideal candidate will assist in bar operations while also managing customer seating and wait times, ensuring a smooth dining experience. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, as the restaurant operates on a night shift basis from Tuesday to Sunday.

Responsibilities

• Assist in bar operations by washing glasses, restocking supplies, and preparing garnishes.
• Juice fruits and help with cleanup at the end of the night.
• Provide accurate wait time estimates to customers and manage seating arrangements.
• Make friendly and inviting contact with customers looking to be seated.
• Support servers by taking on the responsibility of seating customers.

Requirements

• 1 year of experience as a bar-back or host (preferred).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others.

Nice-to-haves

• Food service experience is a plus.
• Flexibility in scheduling to cover shifts as needed.
