About the position

The Restaurant Bartender at Lively Hotel is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service to restaurant guests. This role requires a thorough knowledge of mixology, the restaurant's food and beverage menus, and the ability to engage with guests to enhance their dining experience. The bartender must be proactive in addressing guest needs and maintaining a clean and organized bar area.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the bar for service by cleaning and stocking essential supplies.
• Retrieve liquor based on requisition.
• Learn details on each menu item to provide recommendations to guests.
• Prepare cocktails and beverages accurately, honoring special requests.
• Engage and build rapport with guests to identify needs and ensure satisfaction.
• Communicate special needs or requests and resolve guest challenges collaboratively.
• Maintain cleanliness of restaurant spaces throughout and after shifts.
• Know and communicate restaurant emergency procedures to assist guests in emergencies.
• Take on additional tasks as assigned by restaurant leadership.

Requirements

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in primary language(s) used in the workplace.
• Ability to stand and walk for 8+ hours per day.
• Ability to lift, lower, and maneuver up to 30 pounds frequently.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and pivot frequently throughout the workday.
