About the position

The Director of Restaurant Operations is a key leadership role within a rapidly growing fast/casual restaurant company located outside of metro Detroit. This position is responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational aspects of all restaurant locations, focusing on enhancing performance through effective management of menu development, financial oversight, process improvements, and contract negotiations. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer to develop long-term strategies aimed at optimizing efficiency and maximizing revenue while guiding the restaurant management team and Area Managers to adhere to company processes and systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency and productivity
• Lead and mentor a team of managers to ensure operational excellence
• Collaborate with senior leadership to set and achieve strategic goals
• Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance overall performance
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation
• Negotiate contracts with vendors and partners to maximize value

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role; 5 years preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related work experience
• Proven experience in senior leadership roles with a focus on operations management
• Strong strategic planning and decision-making skills
• Excellent leadership abilities with a track record of managing high-performing teams
• Demonstrated success in driving business growth through innovative solutions
• Ability to analyze complex data and make informed recommendations for improvement
