About the position

The Restaurant General Manager at Applebee's is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring high standards of service and food quality, and managing the team effectively. This role includes financial management, staff development, and maintaining a positive dining experience for guests. The position requires relocation to Houghton in the Upper Peninsula.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Manage and develop the restaurant team, including training and performance evaluations.
  • Handle financial responsibilities including P&L management and budgeting.
  • Ensure high standards of food quality and customer service.
  • Implement marketing strategies to increase restaurant sales.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for both staff and guests.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of Restaurant Management experience.
  • 2+ years of Full-Service and/or Casual dining Restaurant GM experience.
  • Experience in managing both the kitchen and dining room.
  • Dedication to developing hourly and management team members.
  • Strong P&L responsibility skills.
  • Passion for service and commitment to serving great food.
