About the position

The Restaurant General Manager (RGM) at Taco Bell is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a high-volume restaurant, ensuring customer satisfaction, managing financial controls, and leading a team of employees. This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to drive sales and profitability, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. The RGM is also responsible for training and developing team members, managing the restaurant budget, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring consistent customer satisfaction by demonstrating positive interaction with customers and resolving issues immediately.
  • Coaching the management team on proper execution of customer service standards and scheduling.
  • Maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and restaurant readiness for audits.
  • Conducting team member orientation and executing the bench plan process effectively.
  • Recruiting and selecting team members, and developing future leaders within the restaurant.
  • Demonstrating positive energy to motivate the team and maintain high standards.
  • Communicating effectively with customers, team members, and area coaches.
  • Utilizing recognition tools to appreciate team efforts and create incentives for performance.
  • Managing profit and loss by following brand procedures and analyzing financial performance.
  • Overseeing facility maintenance and ensuring health and safety standards are met.

Requirements

  • Previous management or 2+ years of customer service/fast food experience.
  • High School Diploma, GED, College, or University diploma.
  • 2+ years supervisory experience in food service or retail, including P&L responsibility.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Basic business math and accounting skills, and strong analytical/decision-making skills.
  • A track record of people development.
  • Reliable transportation and good communication skills.
  • Must pass background check criteria and drug test.

  • Knowledge of local competitors and market trends.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
