About the position

The Restaurant General Manager (RGM) at Taco Bell is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a high-volume restaurant, ensuring customer satisfaction, managing financial controls, and leading a team of employees. This role requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and the ability to drive performance while maintaining compliance with company standards. The RGM is expected to foster a positive work culture, develop team members, and achieve desired restaurant outcomes such as increased sales and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring consistent customer satisfaction by resolving customer issues and driving CHAMPS scores.
  • Developing people through training, recruitment, and career development opportunities.
  • Demonstrating leadership and maintaining a positive work culture.
  • Making informed decisions based on analytical skills and empowering the management team.
  • Communicating effectively with customers and team members to provide clear direction and strategies.
  • Recognizing and appreciating team efforts through incentives and recognition programs.
  • Managing time effectively to complete brand processes and routines during shifts.
  • Acting like an owner by controlling profit and loss management and overseeing restaurant budget.

Requirements

  • Previous management or 2+ years of customer service/fast food experience.
  • High School Diploma, GED, College, or University diploma.
  • 2+ years supervisory experience in food service or retail, including Profit and Loss responsibility.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Basic business math and accounting skills, and strong analytical/decision-making skills.
  • A track record of people development.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to pass background check and drug test.
  • Safety-focused, punctual, team-oriented, respectful, and motivated.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a high-volume restaurant environment.
  • Knowledge of area competitors and market trends.
