About the position

The Restaurant General Manager (RGM) at Taco Bell is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a high-volume restaurant, ensuring customer satisfaction, managing financial controls, and leading a team of employees. This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to drive performance, and a commitment to maintaining high standards in food quality and safety. The RGM is tasked with developing team members, managing the restaurant budget, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring consistent customer satisfaction by resolving customer issues and coaching the management team on execution standards.
  • Developing people through training, recruitment, and performance evaluations.
  • Demonstrating leadership and fostering a positive work culture among the team.
  • Making informed decisions based on analytical skills and empowering the management team to solve problems.
  • Communicating effectively with customers and team members to provide clear direction and strategies.
  • Recognizing and rewarding team performance through incentives and recognition programs.
  • Managing time effectively to complete brand processes and routines during shifts.
  • Acting like an owner by controlling profit and loss management and overseeing restaurant operations.

Requirements

  • Previous management or 2+ years of customer service/fast food experience.
  • High School Diploma, GED, College, or University diploma.
  • 2+ years supervisory experience in a food service or retail environment, including Profit and Loss responsibility.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Basic business math and accounting skills, and strong analytical/decision-making skills.
  • A track record of people development.
  • Reliable transportation and good communication skills.
  • Must pass background check criteria and drug test.

  • Experience in a high-volume restaurant environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and health regulations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
