About the position

The General Manager at Border Foods is responsible for overseeing the entire restaurant operation, ensuring a positive experience for both employees and guests. Responsibilities

• Reinforce Border Foods CORE values including Accountability, Integrity, Family, Excellence, Teamwork, and Empowerment.
• Oversee the operation of the entire restaurant and ensure a strong team is built to provide great food and a friendly experience.
• Guide team members and Shift Leaders to complete all assigned duties and serve safe, quality food in a friendly manner.
• Schedule and deploy the team correctly to meet operational needs.
• Monitor the performance of each team member and hold them accountable for standards and expectations.
• Ensure a quality customer experience by driving fast and friendly service.
• Maintain the point of sale system by reporting all system failures and verifying download accuracy.
• Ensure health and safety standards are met and adhere to all local, state, and federal laws and guidelines.
• Create unity in the team by building cross-functional relationships and responding to team member questions.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a managerial role within the restaurant industry.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to build and maintain a cohesive team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the food service industry.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with budgeting and financial management in a restaurant setting.
• Familiarity with point of sale systems and restaurant management software.
