About the position
The Restaurant General Manager at Burger King is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a million-dollar restaurant, ensuring efficient management in various business disciplines such as accounting, human resources, training, marketing, and sales. Responsibilities
- Manage a million-plus dollar-a-year restaurant.
- Develop business disciplines in Accounting, Human Resources, Training, Marketing, Sales Building, and Cost Controls.
- Work a 50+ hour work week, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
- Maintain staffing levels through effective planning and scheduling.
- Supervise subordinate staff to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with sanitation standards.
- Utilize company training tools to provide on-the-job training for crew employees.
- Implement and execute restaurant-level financial controls to ensure accountability of company funds.
- Resolve customer complaints tactfully to maintain satisfaction.
- Prepare projections of future sales and expenses to establish profit objectives.
- Conduct performance evaluations and handle employee relations matters.
- Train and develop Assistant Managers and Manager Trainees.
- Maintain a safe work environment for all employees and customers.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a managerial role within the food service industry.
- Strong understanding of financial controls and budgeting processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Experience in training and developing staff.
