Responsibilities

• Work a 50+ hour work week, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
• Develop and improve the restaurant's public relations through frequent contact with the general public and community organizations.
• Communicate with outside suppliers regarding the delivery of quality supplies and repairs to restaurant equipment.
• Maintain staffing levels through effective planning, hiring, and scheduling.
• Supervise staff to ensure prompt and courteous service, product quality, and compliance with sanitation standards.
• Utilize company training tools to provide on-the-job training for crew employees.
• Implement and execute financial controls to ensure accountability of company funds.
• Order supplies as needed and maintain proper accountability for inventory.
• Resolve customer complaints tactfully to maintain satisfaction.
• Appraise performance of subordinates and recognize job performance appropriately.
• Prepare projections of future sales and expenses to establish profit objectives.
• Exercise managerial judgment in employee relations and personnel actions.
• Complete and maintain internal records and reports as required by law and company policy.
• Train and develop Assistant Managers and Manager Trainees in management skills and technical knowledge.
• Maintain a safe work environment for all employees and customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to work a 50+ hour work week.
• Experience in managing a restaurant or similar environment.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with staff, customers, and suppliers.
• Knowledge of financial controls and budgeting in a restaurant setting.
• Ability to train and develop staff effectively.
