About the position
The Restaurant Host at 1606 Restaurant & Oyster Bar is responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, managing reservations, and ensuring efficient seating. This part-time role requires excellent guest service skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Meet and greet guests upon arrival, ensuring a warm welcome.
- Manage reservations using Open Table and maintain the seating schedule.
- Answer phone calls and respond to guest requests and inquiries.
Requirements
- Prior guest service experience required.
- Restaurant experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for an 8+ hour shift.
