About the position

The Restaurant Host/Hostess is responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests at Uno Pizzeria & Grill. This role involves greeting and seating guests, providing menus, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience through attentive service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests, presenting them with the menu.
• Inform guests about the special items for the day and any menu changes.
• Suggest food and beverages to guests and attempt to upsell.
• Take orders and serve food and beverages to guests when needed.
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as directed by the supervisor.
• Observe guests to ensure their satisfaction with the food and service.
• Promptly respond to guest requests and needs.
• Maintain a proper dining experience by delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, and refilling glasses.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service.
• Strong customer service orientation.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role.
• Familiarity with restaurant menus and specials.
