About the position

The Shift Manager at Hawaiian Bros Island Grill is responsible for leading the restaurant crew during shifts to ensure high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. This role involves operating the restaurant independently at times, managing various operational tasks, and ensuring that the team meets company standards while providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the restaurant during a shift without supervision from a manager.
  • Delegate responsibilities to team members and ensure they exceed guest expectations.
  • Ensure all products are stocked and stored properly.
  • Become a subject matter expert in each area of the restaurant.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant.
  • Ensure proper setup and breakdown of the restaurant, including dining room, restrooms, kitchen, and prep areas.
  • Own open, mid, or close routines for the next shift.
  • Ensure all food meets company food safety regulations and is delicious.
  • Recognize a job well done and embody the Hawaiian Bros culture.
  • Exemplify legendary guest service for the whole team.

Requirements

  • Experience in restaurant management or a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage inventory and maintain cleanliness standards.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations.
