About the position

Villa Restaurant Group is a multi-brand, multi-concept global restaurant group specializing in both full-service and quick-service restaurants. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Quick Service Co-Manager to support the Multi-Unit General Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our fast-paced quick service restaurant located at Newark International Airport, Terminal A. As a Co-Manager, you will play a crucial role in providing leadership, driving operational excellence, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate should have a passion for the food industry, strong leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Multi-Unit General Manager to ensure efficient restaurant operations, which include food preparation, service, cleanliness, and maintenance. You will assist in managing inventory levels and coordinating with suppliers to maintain stock of essential items. Additionally, overseeing shift scheduling and labor management will be key to ensuring adequate staffing during peak hours. Customer service excellence is paramount, and you will uphold a customer-centric approach, ensuring all customers receive prompt and friendly service. You will assist in handling customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and satisfactory manner, while also implementing strategies to enhance the overall customer experience and build strong customer loyalty. As a leader, you will work with the Multi-Unit General Manager to motivate the team, promoting a positive work environment and teamwork. This includes assisting in recruiting, training, and onboarding new employees to ensure they are well-equipped to perform their duties effectively. Regular performance evaluations and constructive feedback will be part of your responsibilities to support team members' growth and development. Quality control and safety are also critical aspects of this position. You will maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety in accordance with company guidelines and health regulations. Collaborating with the kitchen staff to ensure consistent preparation and adherence to recipes and procedures will be essential, as will enforcing health and safety protocols to create a secure and compliant working environment. Financial management is another key responsibility, where you will support the Multi-Unit General Manager in achieving revenue and profit targets for the restaurant. Monitoring expenses, cost of goods sold (COGS), and labor costs will help identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving measures. Analyzing financial reports and key performance indicators will enable you to make data-driven decisions that benefit the restaurant's bottom line.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Flexible schedule, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Knowledge of HotSchedules/4th, Paycom and Micros is a plus.
  • A background check and valid driver's license is required for this position.
