About the position

The General Manager at Whataburger is responsible for overseeing the entire restaurant operation, ensuring high-quality service and food delivery while managing and motivating the team. Responsibilities

  • Ensure quality standards are met, including no expired products and proper food handling procedures.
  • Communicate issues effectively with the Area Manager.
  • Maintain cleaning and sanitation procedures, including regular boil outs and filtering schedules.
  • Approve all food orders for Sygma and Flowers.
  • Manage overall restaurant operations, ensuring minimum staffing levels are met even during low volume periods.
  • Enforce uniform standards for all employees, including management.
  • Schedule deposits to the bank three times a day without exception.
  • Ensure new hires complete all necessary paperwork before receiving uniforms.
  • Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and motivation.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills to inspire team members.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed during stressful situations.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
