About the position

As a Water Damage Restoration Technician at SERVPRO of Ardnos, Inc., you will be essential in responding to water damage emergencies and assisting clients in restoring their properties to their original state. This role involves assessing damage, implementing restoration procedures, and ensuring a safe and efficient cleanup process, all while maintaining a commitment to customer satisfaction and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency water damage calls, day or night, to assess the situation and provide immediate assistance to mitigate further damage.
• Evaluate the extent of water damage, including water source identification, moisture levels, and affected areas, using industry-standard equipment.
• Perform water extraction using pumps, vacuums, and other specialized equipment to remove excess water from affected areas.
• Set up and monitor drying equipment such as dehumidifiers and air movers to facilitate the drying process and prevent mold growth.
• Identify and address potential mold issues as part of the restoration process, including removal and remediation as necessary.
• Safely remove, pack, and store contents from affected areas, ensuring proper documentation and care.
• Clean and sanitize affected surfaces, including walls, floors, and structural components, to prevent further damage and promote a healthy environment.
• Maintain detailed records of the restoration process, including photographs, moisture readings, and work performed, for insurance claims and company records.
• Provide clear and empathetic communication to clients throughout the restoration process, addressing their questions and concerns.
• Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards to ensure the safety of yourself, your team, and the property.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in restoration, water damage, or related fields are a plus.
• Previous experience in water damage restoration or a related field is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of industry-standard equipment and techniques for water damage restoration.
• Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to work irregular hours and respond to emergency calls as needed.
