About the position

The Restaurant Hospitality Manager at Buffalo Wild Wings is responsible for supervising the restaurant's operations on a shift-by-shift basis, focusing primarily on the dining room area. This role involves managing hospitality staff, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining a safe and clean environment. The manager will engage with guests, handle complaints, conduct interviews, and oversee training programs for new team members. Additionally, the manager will be responsible for achieving sales and profit goals while adhering to compliance and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise restaurant operations on a shift-by-shift basis.
  • Manage hospitality staff and oversee staff development.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction and handle guest complaints effectively.
  • Conduct interviews and support orientations for new team members.
  • Plan and lead shift meetings to build camaraderie and solicit feedback.
  • Utilize compliance systems and manager tools for proper shift execution.
  • Maintain cleanliness standards and hold team members accountable.
  • Manage shifts to achieve sales and profit goals, including labor and food cost management.
  • Create weekly schedules for direct reports within budgeted labor guidelines.
  • Provide coaching and performance feedback for direct reports.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in restaurant management preferred.
  • 1+ years of prior professional experience in restaurant/retail management.
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory criminal history.
  • Proper food handlers and alcohol dispensing certifications (if required by law).
  • General knowledge of labor laws, health codes, and safe food handling practices.
  • Good people management, communication, and listening skills.
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
