About the position

Dobbs Equipment is seeking a Retail Account Manager (RAM) responsible for the sale, rental, and leasing of John Deere Compact Equipment. The RAM will focus on driving equipment sales and revenue by identifying new and dormant accounts in the compact construction equipment segment. This role requires effective communication, customer service, and sales skills to meet company targets and ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Sell John Deere Compact Construction Equipment (CCE) and their attachments.
• Prospect dormant, new, and walk-in accounts to sell John Deere CCE.
• Welcome and greet potential customers at the dealership, addressing their inquiries and making product recommendations.
• Make a sufficient number of calls per day to assigned accounts to identify sales leads and promote dealership products and services.
• Ensure timely follow-up on leads and quotes within 24 hours.
• Quote and negotiate prices, credit, and financial terms, completing necessary documentation for sales.
• Maintain updated records of assigned customers and report all sales activity in CRM/Dynamics.
• Provide demonstrations and machine walk-arounds to customers at the dealership.
• Meet or exceed company targets for calls and sales quota.
• Attend training and sales meetings to stay current with new equipment and technology.
• Evaluate used equipment to determine trade-in value when requested.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a four-year college or a minimum of 1 year related experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with teammates and customers.
• Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required.
• Customer-focused with the ability to prioritize customer needs and provide excellent service.
• Self-motivated with persuasive personality and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and Dynamics.
• Ability to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions with strong problem-solving skills.
• Basic math skills for calculations involving whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Quick learner with the ability to think creatively.

• Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required.
