About the position
The Retail Alterations Specialist at Uniqlo is responsible for altering pants according to customer specifications. This role requires knowledge of fabrics, sewing techniques, and fashion trends to ensure customer satisfaction with tailored garments. The position is full-time and offers a starting salary of $17.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Sew hem of pants with industrial sewing machine
- Trim excess threads using scissors
- Measure, cut and sew hems following seams, edges, or markings on pants
- Alter pants hemlines to fit individual customers
Requirements
- At least six (6) months prior sewing/fitting experience in an alterations or tailoring department
- Maintain specified productivity guidelines
- Strong communication skills, fluency in English mandatory
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets the business needs, including evenings and weekends
