About the position

BJ's Wholesale Club is hosting a Retail and Warehouse Hiring Event to fill various open roles across its clubs and distribution centers. The event aims to attract candidates for positions such as Cashier, Retail Sales Associate, Recovery Stock Clerk, and more, emphasizing a collaborative and inclusive work environment. Responsibilities

• Processes Member purchases in a courteous and friendly manner, including verifying, renewing, upgrading, and offering several types of membership products.
• Responsible for executing acquisition and renewing/upgrading My BJs Perks.
• Provides excellent and efficient member service for merchandise returns, exchanges, and inquiries.
• Replenishes and stocks merchandise while maintaining cleanliness on the sales floor.
• Performs general warehouse activities including pulling merchandise from a pick list and operating equipment.
• Receives, rotates, wraps, and merchandises fresh and processed meats.
• Sorts, displays, removes, and replenishes fresh fruits and vegetables in the produce department.
• Proofs and bakes unfinished bakery goods, maintaining safety standards.
• Slices, packages, weighs, and sells various deli products while maintaining cleanliness.
• Oversees stocking, rotation, and storage of merchandise, training Stock Clerks on best practices.
• Responsible for accurately receiving products and maintaining cleanliness in the receiving department.
• Assists members in selecting and purchasing tires, including installation and repair.
• Oversees frontline operations in the absence of the Front End Manager, ensuring excellent member service.
• Works closely with management to provide leadership and direction within the club.

Requirements

• Ability to provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Strong communication skills to interact with members and team members.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in retail or warehouse environments.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and cash handling procedures.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
