About the position

The Retail Assistant General Manager is responsible for maintaining a professional and safe distribution process for patients in compliance with federal and state guidelines. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing patient check-ins, overseeing retail operations, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the store. The Assistant General Manager will also handle cash transactions, manage inventory, and support the Store Manager in their absence.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a distribution process that is professional and safe for all patients in compliance with federal and state guidelines.
  • Greet patients with compassion and professionalism upon entering the retail store.
  • Accurately enter patient information into the database and verify eligibility for purchase.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and handle cash and debit transactions while maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
  • Manage the Patient Check-In process and uphold exceptional recordkeeping of patient profiles.
  • Ensure the retail store Sales Floor and Staff Breakroom are clean, well-stocked, and organized.
  • Conduct opening/closing inventory counts of all retail store products as needed.
  • Dispense medical marijuana to patients and ensure the retail store area is clean and organized.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations in the absence of the Store Manager, including financials and inventory management.
  • Manage the ordering and upkeep of non-cannabis inventory and maintain stock of daily supplies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; 2-year degree preferred.
  • Must be over 21 years of age and legally able to work in the United States.
  • Ability to occasionally lift 50+ pounds and sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Excellent mathematical skills and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in navigating Windows and multiple applications quickly, with expert typing skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of solid and liquid dosage medications and topicals dispensed.
  • Experience in the cannabis industry or knowledge of marijuana products.
