About the position

The Retail Assistant Manager at FedEx Office is responsible for leading a store business unit, ensuring a consistent and positive customer experience. This role involves supervising team members, overseeing business operations, and managing store activities in the absence of the Store Manager. The Assistant Manager is also tasked with training staff, resolving customer issues, and maintaining operational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a store business unit to create a positive customer experience.
  • Supervise and oversee team members and business operations.
  • Monitor production and retail processes, including shipping and quality control.
  • Manage the store in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Evaluate team member efficiency and productivity.
  • Resolve customer disputes and complaints in a timely manner.
  • Create a customer-focused environment in all areas of the store.
  • Establish and manage customer flow processes to improve service.
  • Provide training and development for team members on assigned shifts.
  • Assist in the hiring process of new team members.
  • Coach and provide feedback to team members on performance.
  • Maintain communication with the Store Lead Consultant and production team.
  • Oversee shipping-related services and activities.
  • Communicate daily/weekly/monthly goals and performance metrics with the Store Manager.
  • Comply with and enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in payroll review and daily close-out of POS.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent education.
  • 1+ year of related experience, with prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods.
  • Ability to move and lift 55 pounds.
  • Effective communication skills with customers, vendors, and team members.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
  • Ability to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods.
