About the position
The Retail Assistant Manager at Boomerang Toys is responsible for assisting in the management of merchandise departments, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, and maintaining the store's overall cleanliness. This role requires strong customer service and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work well in a team and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with management of merchandise departments, including monitoring inventory levels and maintaining displays.
- Providing a high level of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
- Listening to customers and understanding their needs.
- Becoming knowledgeable about product offerings and discussing options with customers.
- Maintaining the store's overall cleanliness.
- Gift wrapping and performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 1 year of customer service experience preferred.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to lift boxes up to 40lbs, bend, twist, and go up step ladder.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous retail experience preferred.
- Self-motivated and self-starter qualities.
- Outgoing and conversational demeanor.
