About the position

The Retail Assistant Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, ensuring a customer-centric environment, and supporting the Store Manager in leading and developing store employees. This role includes managing customer relations, analyzing financial statements, and promoting a positive work atmosphere while achieving financial goals. The position offers a competitive hourly wage with commission opportunities based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet FirstCash standards.
• Recruit top talent through company-prescribed channels.
• Open and close the store, including cash drawer management and asset protection procedures.
• Ensure asset protection through inventory control and documentation.
• Administer processes within the store, including inventory, loan management, and merchandising.
• Evaluate store financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
• Ensure operating standards meet or exceed FirstCash standards.
• Monitor loan qualification and buying processes for integrity.
• Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development.
• Communicate clearly with employees regarding the store's mission and profit objectives.
• Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
• Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.

Requirements

• Minimum of six months of management or 3rd key experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others.
• Computer literacy and ability to operate Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.
• Cash handling experience is required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent work ethic and strong business sense.
