About the position

The Assistant Store Manager at Ollie's is responsible for leading the front-end operations of the store, ensuring a positive customer experience, and developing associates. This role involves managing payroll budgets, maintaining store standards, and assisting with hiring and training, all while embodying the company's core values of teamwork, care, value obsession, commitment, growth, and authenticity.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Team Leader with managing payroll budgets, expenses, and store banking.
  • Demonstrate exceptional Associate and Customer service experiences.
  • Ensure store standards and company programs meet operational expectations.
  • Maintain the front-end, entrance, and exterior of the building.
  • Provide daily tasks to Associates to ensure productivity.
  • Perform Team Leader functions to open and close the store as needed.
  • Assist with hiring, recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding candidates.
  • Complete additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate or bachelor's degree in Business Management preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years' retail management experience with a mid to large size retailer.
  • Schedule flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must have a valid Driver's license.
