About the position

The Assistant Store Manager at Ollie's Bargain Outlet plays a crucial role in leading the front-end operations of the store. This position focuses on providing exceptional customer service, developing associates, and ensuring the store meets its operational and financial goals. The role requires a commitment to the company's core values and a passion for retail sales.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Team Leader with managing payroll budgets, expenses, store banking, shrink reduction, and timely completion of related reports.
  • Demonstrate exceptional Associate and Customer service experiences, ensuring all company standards are met in every interaction.
  • Ensure that store standards and company programs meet all operational expectations.
  • Maintain the front-end, entrance, and exterior of the building properly.
  • Provide daily tasks to Associates and ensure productivity.
  • Perform all Team Leader functions to open and close the store when needed.
  • Assist with hiring, recruiting, interviewing, selection, and onboarding of candidates to meet staffing needs.
  • Complete any additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate or bachelor's degree related to Business Management preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years' retail management experience with a mid to large size retailer.
  • Schedule flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays regularly.
  • Must have a valid Driver's license.
