About the position

The Assistant Team Leader at Ollie's is responsible for leading the front-end operations of the store, ensuring a positive customer experience while managing a retail sales team. This role emphasizes associate development, customer service, asset protection, and maintaining store standards. The Assistant Team Leader works closely with the Store Team Leader to meet financial and operational goals, fostering a culture of teamwork and commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Team Leader with managing payroll budgets, expenses, store banking, shrink reduction, and timely completion of related reports.
• Demonstrate exceptional Associate and Customer service experiences, ensuring all company standards are met in every interaction.
• Ensure that store standards and company programs meet all operational expectations.
• Maintain the front-end, entrance, and exterior of the building properly.
• Provide daily tasks to Associates and ensure productivity.
• Perform all Team Leader functions to open and close the store when needed.
• Assist with hiring, recruiting, interviewing, selection, and onboarding of candidates to meet staffing needs.
• Complete any additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate or bachelor's degree related to Business Management preferred.
• Minimum of 1-2 years' retail management experience with a mid to large size retailer.
• Schedule flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holiday seasons regularly.
• Must have a valid Driver's license.
