About the position

The Assistant Store Manager at Ollie's Bargain Outlet will lead the front-end operations of a new store in Bloomsburg, PA. This role focuses on providing exceptional customer service, developing associates, and ensuring operational excellence. The Assistant Store Manager will work closely with the Store Team Leader to manage various aspects of the store, including payroll, expenses, and staffing, while fostering a positive team environment and upholding the company's core values.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Team Leader with managing payroll budgets, expenses, and store banking.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service and ensure all company standards are met in every interaction.
• Maintain store standards and ensure operational expectations are met.
• Oversee the maintenance of the front-end, entrance, and exterior of the building.
• Assign daily tasks to Associates and ensure productivity.
• Perform Team Leader functions to open and close the store as needed.
• Assist with hiring, recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding of new candidates.
• Complete additional responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate or bachelor's degree in Business Management preferred.
• Minimum of 1-2 years' retail management experience with a mid to large size retailer.
• Schedule flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must have a valid Driver's license.
