About the position

The Assistant Store Manager at Ollie's Bargain Outlet plays a crucial role in leading the front-end operations of the store. This position is responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, managing store standards, and supporting the Store Team Leader in various operational tasks. Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Team Leader with managing payroll budgets, expenses, and store banking.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service experiences by demonstrating Ollie's core values.
  • Maintain store standards and ensure compliance with company programs.
  • Oversee the maintenance of the front-end, entrance, and exterior of the store.
  • Assign daily tasks to Associates to ensure productivity.
  • Perform Team Leader functions to open and close the store as needed.
  • Assist with hiring, recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding of new candidates.
  • Complete additional responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate or bachelor's degree in Business Management preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years' retail management experience with a mid to large size retailer.
  • Schedule flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Valid Driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in customer service.
  • Management experience with retailers such as Walmart, 5 Below, or Dollar General.
