About the position

The Retail Assistant Store Manager at Ollie's Bargain Outlet is responsible for leading the front-end operations of the store, ensuring a positive customer experience, and supporting the Store Team Leader in various management tasks. This role emphasizes teamwork, customer service, and operational excellence, while also focusing on associate development and maintaining store standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Team Leader with managing payroll budgets, expenses, store banking, shrink reduction, and timely completion of related reports.
• Demonstrate exceptional Associate and Customer service experiences, ensuring company standards are consistently met.
• Ensure that store standards and company programs meet all operational expectations.
• Maintain the front-end, entrance, and exterior of the building properly.
• Provide daily tasks to Associates and ensure productivity.
• Perform all Team Leader functions to open and close the store when needed.
• Assist with hiring, recruiting, interviewing, selection, and onboarding of candidates.
• Complete any additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate or bachelor's degree related to Business Management preferred.
• Minimum of 1-2 years' retail management experience with a mid to large size retailer.
• Schedule flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis.
• Must have a valid Driver's license.
