The Retail Associate Customer Service position at Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is focused on delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining the store's appearance and assisting with sales operations. The role involves engaging with customers, processing transactions, and ensuring a clean and organized sales floor to enhance the shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates an enthusiastic, positive attitude at all times.
• Greets every customer swiftly upon entering the building, making eye contact and smiling.
• Engages with customers and provides assistance as needed while roaming the sales floor.
• Processes customer transactions quickly and accurately within cash handling guidelines.
• Participates in putting fresh product out on the sales floor.
• Participates in rotating stock.
• Understands and meets the store's Round Up goal assigned by the store manager.
• Maintains the sales floor in a clean, neat, and orderly fashion.
• Keeps wrap desks free of clutter.
• Responsible for maintaining all floor visual presentations, including houseware end caps and visuals with low stock.
• Reports cleanliness issues to management if unable to address them.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred, but a combination of education and work experience will be considered.
• No previous experience required.
• Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
