The Retail Associate position at SSA Group involves providing exceptional guest service in a retail environment associated with cultural attractions such as zoos and aquariums. Responsibilities

  • Fulfill guest's needs quickly and efficiently.
  • Inform retail leadership when item quantities are low or special requests arise.
  • Work with the warehouse team to pull and fill items as necessary.
  • Relay relevant customer comments directly to the supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Uphold company policies and procedures.
  • Perform the steps of SSA EXTRA Guest Service to ensure a memorable experience for every guest and client.
  • Check and stock supplies in the counter area, floor display, floor stands, and cabinets neatly and accurately.
  • Clean tables, chairs, and equipment as needed.
  • Keep the counter and floor in the work or service area clean and free of debris.
  • Maintain a balanced cash drawer as assigned.
  • Perform other related duties, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Merchandise products to maximize sales.
  • Increase sales by promotional items or suggestive selling.
  • Support unit in being an example for Company & Client guidelines regarding Sustainability/Conservation efforts.
  • Display knowledge of efforts in business application and provide teaching opportunities for unit staff as necessary.
  • Engage with SSA/Unit in driving community efforts through hiring and engagement activities.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment while also working independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and implement written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills, including POS systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle boxes weighing 10-35 lbs.
  • Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
